iPhone Rumors: Features, Specs, Price and Release Date of iPhone 6

We all know the approaching iPhone 6 and the great Sep. 9 event. It is a rough time waiting for it, with rumors everywhere. Many people even "unveiled" the appearance and the specs of the new iPhone online. I think that you must have heard some rumors about this "iPhone 6" (I am not even sure whether this is its name.) and see some parts of the device. They may be true or may not. Anyway, I collected some of them. And it is up to you to judge which is correct.

Rumor No.1: Appearance

Scratch-proof Screen
There are a lot of information about the materials of the display, which includes the rumored sapphire glass and the commonly use Gorilla Glass 3. It is reported that Foxconn has produced around 100 iPhone 6 screen of sapphire glass. The material has been used for the camera of iPhone 5 and the Home button. So, I think this may be true.

Bigger Screen for iPhone 6
For the size of the screen, there are two possibilities—4.7 inch and 5.5 inch. Obviously, this may be true because of the great demand for larger handsets. Apple, I believe, will not turn a blind eye to it. By the way, some even mentioned that the upcoming iPhone 6 will be transparent. (Well, not likely, I'd say.)

Lighter and Thinner
It is a trend for SmartPhones to be lighter and thinner. And undoubtedly we are looking forward to seeing the same thing happens to the next generation of iPhone. But, I think, a 5% reduction on the volume is quite nice, considering the fact the iPad Air is just 20% thinner than the last generation.

Better Looking
iPhone 4 and 4s have long been considered as good looking, thanks to Jobs and his group. However, the shape has not been change greatly for iPhone 5 and 5s. (Actually, it is just stretched a little bit, many may think.) So, after that, would Apple have ideas for the appearance? Let's wait and see.

Rumor No.2: Specs of iPhone 6

Greater Performance
The Apple processor has been improved along with the launch of a new product. We can expect that the new handset will feature the "A8" processor. Some report says that different processors will be installed on phones of different sizes. It is quite nice for consumers to choose among those devices based on their needs. By the way, according to Wall Street Journal, TSMC and Samsung will schedule the production of it.

8 Megapixels Still
To be honest, the 8-megapixel camera of iPhone is much better than some with the so-called 13 megapixels. Sometimes, it is about the software that controls the image quality. Richard Topliss has joined Apple and it is suggested that Lytro technology will be implemented in the iPhone 6.

An Increase of Battery Capacity
If the rumor about larger screen is true, a bigger battery is needed. Based on some report, it is expected of Apple to provide one range from 1800 mAh to 1900 mAh. And a 2500 mAh battery is likely to be contained by the iPhone 6 phablet.

Rumor No.3: The Prices of the new iPhone
The price is likely to be between $199.99 and $299.99 with a mobile carrier contract. And the estimated off-contract price will be $600.  If you are going to buy it from the Apple retailer, the value may be near $650. As for the bigger-size phablet, it would be round $700.

Rumor No.4: Release Date of iPhone 6
The new device is expected to be released in September, as gossip assessed it.
